Youth Development

Youth Pulse

The youth arm of Family Heartbeat Ministries was formed on January 30th 2005. It was on that date that Stay Alive 2005 was staged to give the youth an alternative to the strong campaign of condom-use projected by the government and other interest groups in their attempt to combat the spread of HIV. Abstinence was not a consideration in that drive.

Family Heartbeat Ministries brought together on the evening of January 30th 2005, about 5000 people and had close to 3000 young people make a commitment to remain sexually pure until marriage and after marriage, remain faithful to their own partners. Condoms were last resort in our campaign.

The revival of this very important group is not optional but vitally essential. God at this time has chosen an excellent team to represent Him at this crucial time in the history of the world where Satan is seeking to destroy the youth of the world.

Mission Statement

The youth arm of Family Heartbeat Ministries ‘Youth Pulse’ exists to challenge young people to live wholesome lifestyles consistent with God’s principles emphasizing sexual abstinence until marriage and faithfulness in marriage.

The purpose of Youth Pulse:

  1. To promote Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth, and the Life and the Only One who can give every young person the power to live righteously, godly and purely in this sinful corrupt world.
  2. To assist young people in giving them practical tools to avoid moral pitfalls so that they could live wholesome lives and become useful and productive citizens.
  3. To help create a healthy environment for youth to interface with each other and provoke each other to live meaningful lifestyles which are consistent with God’s principles.
  4. To guide youth away from those human vultures who seek to rob them of their moral dignity and then leave emotionally disfigured for life.
  5. To be in the vanguard of utilizing all available legitimate media to convey the message of sexual abstinence and being faithful to one’s married partner for life.
  6. To have a cadre of young people who would volunteer to be engaged in an angreeive sexual abstinence and faithfulness campaign among their peers in schools, the streets, churches, workplaces and wherever youth ‘hang out.’
